Electrical Services
Moving a meter, upgrading consumer mains or responding to a defect notice? AB Electrical assesses the existing supply and the work you need, then coordinates the relevant distributor or metering requirements. You deal with the same electrician throughout your electrical work.

AB Electrical carries out Level 2 work for meter relocations, consumer mains upgrades, disconnections, reconnections and private poles. We check the property address, existing connection and proposed work to establish the relevant distributor and metering-provider requirements.

Moving a meter is not simply a matter of choosing a new spot on the wall. The position, access, cable route and metering arrangements need checking. For additional appliances or a renovation, we assess the proposed load before recommending a supply change.
Consumer mains carry the supply to the main switchboard. The switchboard distributes it to the property’s circuits. More circuit space or safety-switch protection does not necessarily mean the incoming supply needs upgrading; the assessment should consider both.
Some connection and service-line tasks require a Level 2 provider and appropriately authorised workers. We confirm the actual scope and network requirements, rather than treating all work near a meter as the same job.
Stay clear of damaged or fallen lines and report them to the electricity distributor. Call 000 if there is immediate danger.
You deal with the same electrician throughout your electrical work. If a fault is caused by our installation or repair workmanship, we put it right at no extra charge.
